At Webex One 2023 the Webex CPaaS Solutions team will be showcasing how Webex Connect, our cloud communications platform, enables enterprises to revolutionize their customer experience (CX) through intelligent automation and the adoption of digital channels. 

Our continued effort to enhance Webex Connect has been recognized across the industry, with Cisco being named as a ‘Visionary’ in Gartner’s first ever Magic Quadrant for CPaaS recently.  

As a visionary, we are bringing about the future of Communications Platform as a Service technology and are pleased to announce some new enhancements that we are adding to Webex Connect. 

Personalized video communications powered by AI

Video is more than just a media format—it's a compelling tool that captivates us, with people dedicating an average of 100 minutes daily to watching content. Video presents an opportunity to consolidate large amount of information into to an engaging bite-sized format, with use cases ranging from welcome messages and product promotions to appointment reminders and self-help guides. It has become the trend for many businesses to integrate video into various platforms and touchpoints across the customer journey.  

The challenge with video is that it is costly to produce and difficult to personalize. However, advances in generative AI is changing that.

We are pleased to announce we are testing a new Webex Connect offering that enables businesses to harness AI to create and send personalized video communications across multiple channels at scale. Using dynamic AI, everything from copy, to avatars, to images, to backgrounds, and narration can be edited to generate personalized video for every customer. Further action buttons can be weaved into these videos to make them interactive.  

With the feature forming part of the Webex Connect platform’s AI, NLP and NLU toolset, businesses will be able to use the flow builder to easily integrate video communications into any customer journey. Integrations with business systems will enable customer data to be used to personalize content and set up triggers that send vides at the perfect moment as well as and automate follow-up interactions.

New partner program and integrations studio 

We are heavily invested in the partner community – both within Cisco and beyond – to help them take the power of CPaaS technology to solve CX challenges faced by various enterprise businesses. 

We are thrilled to announce the new Webex Connect Partner Enablement Program is now available on Webex Academy. Covering sales enablement training, the course empowers partners to tap into the expertise and knowledge within the Webex CPaaS Solutions team to build a successful CPaaS practice of their own. Soon after, we will be releasing the second phase of the course, where partners can learn more about the Technical Enablement of a CPaaS practice.  

In addition, we are continuing to invest in helping partners to monetize the demand for CPaaS technology. The latest example of this is our new offering for partners I.e., Webex Connect Integrations Studio.  

The studio will enable partners to build their own reusable, proprietary integrations for Webex Connect. This means partners can tailor integrations into systems that their customer base most utilize, allowing them to quickly transform their integration expertise into marketable solutions to deliver a better customer experience and achieve mission critical KPIs.  

Whether it's private integrations exclusively for customers or public integrations accessible to fellow partners, this community-driven initiative aims to foster collaboration and enable partners to build a recurring CPaaS revenue stream.

FedRAMP authorization is planned for next year 

FedRAMP, short for Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a comprehensive U.S. government initiative aimed at standardizing the security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring processes for cloud products and services used by federal agencies.  

We are pleased to announce the intention of Webex Connect to be included in the Webex for Government solution, with the goal of receiving FedRAMP authorization by the end of 2024. This strategic move reaffirms our commitment to providing secure and compliant communication solutions for government agencies while enhancing collaboration capabilities.
