imimobile acquires Infracast for £8.2m to enhance digital solutions offering to UK banking and telecom industry

IMImobile, a cloud communications software and solutions provider, has announced that it has agreed to acquire Infracast Limited ("Infracast"), a leading provider of multichannel messaging applications and middleware to the UK banking and telecom industry. Infracast is a leading technology partner to Telefonica, and through that partnership, IMImobile will now serve four of the top five tier one retail banking groups in the UK.

As enterprises seek to improve customer experience with increased use of digital and mobile messaging channels, the secure and cost effective management and delivery of these services is becoming increasingly important. Infracast’s customer and product portfolio is complementary to existing IMImobile products and solutions, providing both businesses with significant cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

IMImobile plans to integrate Infracast’s technology into its banking solution portfolio, which includes secure messaging, compliance and regulatory messaging, fraud and identity management. These can be applied over multiple channels from SMS and IVR to IP and social messaging channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Push Notifications.

The acquisition strengthens IMImobile’s position as a market leading provider of mobile and digital customer interaction software and solutions to banks and mobile operators in the UK and internationally.
