imimobile wins 3 mobile innovation awards for work with Mobile by Sainsbury’s, O2 and Universal music group
London
IMImobile, a global technology company providing software and services which help businesses capitalise on the growth in mobile communications, today announced that they have won 3 Mobile Innovations Awards for their work with Mobile by Sainsbury’s, O2 and Universal Music Group.
The Mobile Innovation Awards were created by the Mobile Innovations Magazine to pay tribute to those who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible with mobile and who are succeeding in a business and commercial setting. Held at the Grosvenor House in London, the inaugural awards received entries from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
IMImobile and its clients were presented with the awards in the following categories:
1. ‘Best Use of Mobile within a CRM Strategy’ for Mobile by Sainsbury’s, Nectar Card integration
IMImobile built a solution which allowed Mobile by Sainsbury’s customers to link their Nectar Card account to their mobile identity, enabling them to earn points through topping up, purchasing bundles and using their mobile. Integrated into the customer journey via an SMS welcome campaign and forming part of a new customer loyalty strategy, the solution enables Mobile by Sainsbury’s to offer value that cannot be matched by competitors and links the mobile and in-store experience through cross channel promotions.
The judges commented: “This CRM project is taking mobility truly into account with a bold connection between the mobile number and the card number. It is freeing the customer from plastic.”
2. ‘Best Use of Mobile for Customer Service’ for O2, #TweetServe
#TweetServe is the world’s first social self-care customer service, developed by IMImobile in partnership with O2 and Twitter. Forming part of O2’s digitally-led customer service strategy, #TweetServe lets O2 customers manage their customer account and gain information instantly via Twitter using Direct Messaging and hash tags. #TweetServe is the first of its kind, and is set to revolutionise how businesses can use Twitter to deliver customer service.
The judges commented: “Social Media has revolutionised the way people communicate, and #TweetServe enables self-care customer service where the customer is most receptive to receiving it. A very forward thinking project.”
3. ‘Most Innovative App for Entertainment’ for Universal Music Group, The Kleek
The Kleek is an Android music streaming app designed and built by IMImobile in partnership with BBH and Universal for the African market. It allows users to stream thousands of tracks from Universal Music Group, Sony Music, EMI and local African studios’ music catalogue, as well as access exclusive interviews, playlists, previews and artist diaries. The app also features an offline mode.
The judges commented: “The Kleek answers a need for a mobile music capability in Africa, and is applauded for its promotion of unknown and local artists.”
Alex Klose, Head of Marketing at IMImobile said: “We are extremely pleased to be recognised by the Mobile Innovations Magazine and well-regarded industry experts on the judging panel. Having received three awards for our work with Mobile by Sainsbury’s, O2 and Universal Music Group is testament to our abilities to deliver innovative solutions and services, whether that’s CRM and loyalty, multichannel content delivery, or pioneering customer services.”
