IMImobile, a leading provider of core technology infrastructure for mobile operators, today announced that its Founder, Chairman and CEO, Vishwanath Alluri, has once again been named by Global Telecoms Business (GTB) as one of the 100 most powerful people in the telecoms industry worldwide. Alluri has been listed in the GTB Power100 for the last two years.
GTB began the Power100 in September 2008 to honour the most influential people in the telecoms industry worldwide. This year’s Power100 list was compiled from nominations by worldwide readers of Global Telecoms Business – including CEOs, CFOs, and senior executives of the world’s major operators, telecom vendors and other industry organisations.
“It’s an honour to be recognised by Global Telecoms Business and I would like to thank the entire IMImobile team for their continued hard work” said Alluri. “This award recognises IMImobile’s success in pioneering the managed service model that has increased consumer engagement and revenues for our customers. The last year has seen IMImobile cement its place as a valued technology partner to leading operators and enterprises.”
Alluri founded IMImobile in 1999 with the vision of harnessing Indian intellectual resources to create an IPR-centric technology company. IMImobile now has more than 600 employees and a global presence across Asia, Europe, America, Middle East and Africa. Strategic acquisitions, such as that of UK mobile content and services company WINplc, and more recently Skinkers, have transformed the company’s customer profile and geographic footprint. These results can be attributed to Vish’s unique vision and strategic focus.
